Cherry Blossom Mini Sessions!

The National Cherry Blossom Festival is scheduled during a three-week time frame, from March 20th - April 16th, 2023, with the hope that the blossoms will bloom at that time.

I will hold cherry blossom mini sessions on a Saturday during peak bloom. We won’t know until about a week out when the blossoms will open, so the date will be sometime in late March or early April.

Reserving your timeslot now guarantees you a mini session during peak bloom!

How do I sign up?

To confirm your timeslot, the session fee is due via Venmo or Zelle.

The fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable since it guarantees your cherry blossom mini session and makes it unavailable to other clients.

FAQs

What is included in the mini session?

• All sessions include a proof gallery of the best images (link + password will be emailed). You can download 5 images. Sharing on social media is also allowed with standard photo credit to Lincoln Photography @RLincolnPhoto

• Option to buy entire gallery or additional single images

Where are the sessions held?

• At the Tidal Basin in Downtown DC; specific details on our exact location, parking, and how to find me (it will be easy, I promise!) will be sent out once you’ve booked.

What if we arrive late?

• Mini sessions are booked back to back, so if you are more than 7 minutes late, your session is lost. Plan for at least an additional 45 minutes to get to our location. During peak bloom, parking is usually a 20-30 minute walk away and traffic barely moves around the Mall and Tidal Basin area. There are plenty of things to do at the festival, and there are food vendors, bathrooms, and often live music with a good environment for kids along Ohio Drive (close to where we’ll meet, too!).

Can we book a full-lenth session during peak bloom instead of the mini session?

• Of course! My sunrise/sunset spots sold out months ago, so I’ve opened up weekday daytime slots. Email me - RL@RLincoln.com or text/call 202-821-6072 for availability and full details.

Do you offer guidance posing?

• Absolutely! That’s my area of expertise (nearly 15 years of it!) so you’re in excellent hands. All you have to do is show up!

I have no idea what to wear - can you help?

• Yes! Once you reserve a spot, I’ll send you a ton of info on what to wear, how to prepare, coordinating outfits, what photographs best at the cherry blossoms, etc. Most clients also text me photos of outfits they’re considering so together we can create an elevated, beautiful look for your photographs.

What if it rains?

• Our backup date will be the next day, Sunday. Your timeslot will remain the same.

What if we have to cancel?

• Mini sessions during the brief cherry blossom season are in high demand, and as a result cancellations are not allowed. You may transfer your session to another person if you cannot attend.
